No, that's the excuse for invading Syria.
Once there and no stockpiles can be found, the president will call for a probe where the result of the probe will be presented well after the next election (and forgotten, just like the probe for "two senior administration officials" who betrayed their country when mentioning the name of a CIA operative to the useful idiot Novak). "Intelligence" will indicate that the weapons have yet again moved on to another country (as long as it isn't Saudi Arabia).
Why not? The nation took the hook, line and sink before and will do it again.

That's "sinker".....Mr. English Professor. And I don't think anything will be "moved" again. Syria and Saddam had a special "relationship" for a long time....guns comming in....oil and WMD going out. (Too bad he didn't think it might be nice to feed his people while he was busy making money.) No.....Syria will have a hard time dumping this "problem" on somebody else. Who would want it? My only worry is that that "who" might be Osama & Co. But it's interesting that you're making excuses now for something that you previously said did not happen. I don't think you'll believe WMD ever existed in Iraq until a gas grenade goes off under your nose! It's just too inconvenient to your way of thinking (and that of others as well).

So it is. I am brimming over with eternal gratitude that you pointed out this specific typo. Be assured that I will return the favour when, or rather if, I run out of arguments.

Hardly, I am merely telling you what I think will happen if the US goes on another pre-emptive spree.
You assume that my reasoning; ""Intelligence" will indicate that the weapons have yet again moved on to another country" means that I believe there was WMD shipped from Iraq to Syria before the war.
That is a faulty assumption.

Don't be absurd. Of course WMD existed in Iraq. We (the western world) delivered them to Saddam to use against the people of Iran! Though the expiration date for that stuff came and went some ten years ago.

Osama? Osama... ahhh, yes. Elderly chap. Big gray beard. Lives in a cave. The one GWB said is not important? The one we totally lost focus of when the troops went to the Iraqi border and the newsfeed were busy with, eh, other stuff than Bin Laden?
The London-based Al-Hayat newspaper recently reported that Al-Qaida have possessed tactical nuclear weapons for about six years!
Now you have another worry… one that you share with me.
