Does 'depleted uranium' fall under the 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' label?

If it does and we're using it, are we really capable of deciding who should have WMD and who shouldn't?

I believe in facts. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it is you believe in Debbie. Anit-Nuclear Activists? Coalition of anti-Americans? It really and honestly is difficult for me to tell when one is willing to ignore the facts in favor of what allows them to vent anger in a non-constructive fashion. Where is Freud (or would it be Nitzche) when you need him!

NRK, it depends. If you believe the facts, then DU is not a WMD. If you believe Debbie or those she believes......well.......

And Debbie, has it occured to you that scientists are human beings; and completely capable of omitting certain pertinent facts as will support a view or conclusion that they have already decided to support prior to conducting a given study? They can lie as easily as anyone in any countries government. The fact that you continue to deny facts that I have tried to clearly lay out supports my conclusion that this is entirely possible.

Oh yeah, and need I remind anyone that scientists lied about the effects of nicotine and smoking for years? They had a reason to.....maybe the ones you are listening to do as well.

Earlier in this thread I also talked about govt "expert witnesses", its too much to post here, but its in the same thread, so go ahead and read it.

I'm sorry I should have said "THIRD PARTY" scientists in my post you refer to (stupid oversight), cause we all know that plenty of scientists have been bought by the government and large corporations.

I am sure that pretty soon DU is going to be banned, no matter how safe you think it is.

Have you tested the soil in iraq? Have you dissected the bodies, looked at the lists of people affected?? When you tell me you have I'll take your word for DU's safety. Till then, I shall be following the people who HAVE conducted these studies. NOTE: I understand that the govts using the stuff and NATO are reluctant for proper studies to be conducted over the long term. Makes you wonder hmmmmmm.

Actually, you don't seem to believe in much, since you yourself admitted that if your government told you the sky was blue, even if you didnt believe it, you'd still agree with them. I find, that after that admission, it doesn't matter much to me what you think I stand for.

You have not done any of the studies yourself, yet claim you know more than the doctors and scientists who have. The rest of the "facts" you keep quoting are from govt sources (all of which by the way, admit that DU is dangerous if it gets into the system), the only things you seem to read. Lies and half-truths from the Govt.

I urge everyone on this board to read the independent links on DU. Performed by scientists and doctors NOT bought by the govt.

I urge everyone to read and understand any article they can find that disusses on a scientific level the radioactive nature of the elements found in DU, and apply it to real-life situations based on fact, not rhetoric.

BTW, DU has not been used in Iraq continually over the past 10 years. Give me a break.
