I doubt even the HK government are that stupid. However, the PLA leader is in HK for the "Re-unification day" celebrations (an oxymoron at it's best) so hopefully the marchers will click some emotional button he may have, small as it is.

don't be fooled or become complacent about the Chinese govt., though. If you remember, everyone thought China was heading down a more democratic and capitalistic road right up until the bloody crackdown on students at Tienamin(sp) Square. Watch your backs and fight the good fight!
