i like the melody, i like the instrumentation too. very summery, that's a good description.
i wonder though, in the first part where there are two vocals, are they together or is one a little behind the other? the first time really i mean, as in around the 30-44 second area?
sounds great and i like the abrupt ending too. very summery!

i like your voice on the tunes i've heard it on mike. in fact, one of my favorite indie tunes ever is that one you did with nina back a few years ago. your vocal MADE that song.

I was confused, Mike - at first I thought this thread's title meant that you went skiing or something across the snow. DOH!!!
Downloading the track now and I'll give it a listen!

i think i remember when you bought it. so it is a custom shop version of a les paul standard? outside of prettier maple top what is the difference in it and a regular les paul standard? i have an 88 regular les paul standard. does it have a different nitro finish? someone told me the like historic custom shop les paul reissues have a thinner finnish and thus more resonounce. do you know?
which marshal do you have? does it have a master volume? i guess it is way to loud for a townhouse?
That is the problem with apartments and townhouses you can not turn up the volume for output tubes so it is all preamp distortion.
i have an early 70s champ and it sometimes is too loud...
great playing also!

Well, I did enjoy listening to that. But mainly because of the technical excellence and superb sonic quality.
Those "horn" hits are so tight with the snare.. - reminds me of Earth, Wind, and Fire....
Do you quantize that stuff, Mike? The midi drums and horns?
If not, if you played them by hand and didn't quantize, your sense of timing is incredible.
I thought only black people could play that tightly...
And yeah, - I agree with Seismo and Chris... - I noticed you look slimmer in that picture with the Les Paul....
