I had a discussion about creativity and originality on another board I visit.

It was suggested Reggaeton was both of these.......... maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

My thoughts were............. who cares ?? Old, new, creative or not. If you like it, you buy it. If you don't, you don't !!

Seeing as this thread was a shameless plug, here's mine.

The reason I got into the discussion was because I was presenting a band that my eldest son is handling at the moment, who my wife and I had just been to see play live.

They're called Dazeone they're a bunch of 18 year lads.

In the grand scheme of things, they may not be original ( whatever that is) but they sure write pretty songs, and their live performance is astounding. They also had the privilege of playing to 50,000 people back in the summer !!

Have a listen, post some thoughts if you like.

Thanks for the explanation Ian!!! Have enough trouble with English rap (apart from Eminem) so will give the Spanish rap a miss.

I hate reggeaton,

it's the most hideous music on earth

i had to listen to it in the canary islands in the tv ads day after day, and then i got a neighbour really fond of it, eew

i'm sorry but i will exclude it completely from my musical taste, i respect all sorts of music, but for my spirit this is not, as my personal opinion
