Nice.

I kinda dig the Bindi.... - adds a touch of exoticism...

Especially in Western cultures, where they are less common...

Now.

How about a sari?

Pass on the burkha, though - that would be a horrible waste of beauty...

I found this definition of "Bindi" with Google....

Quote:
The holy dot or bindi (also known as kumkum, mangalya, tilak, sindhoor and by other names) is an auspicious makeup worn by young Hindu girls and women on their forehead. The term is derived from bindu, the Sanskrit word for a dot or a point. It is usually a red dot made with vermilion (finely powdered bright red mercuric sulphide). Considered a blessed symbol of Uma or Parvati, a bindi signifies female energy (shakti) and is believed to protect women and their husbands. Traditionally a symbol of marriage (hence the widows did not wear vermilion), it has now become a decorative item and is worn today by unmarried girls and women of other religions as well. No longer restricted in color or shape, bindis today are seen in many colors and designs and are manufactured with self-adhesives and felt.

Mike ! :rollin :wgrin

Drooly ! I used to wear saris sometimes, but I'm not a big fan of heaps of material around me getting tangled in everything. Its been a while since I wore one, but I do have a few stuffed away somewhere.

Burka? moi?:aua

I used to study with a few muslim girls who wore them. They wore school uniform during the day (it was a convent :D ) and just before leaving the grounds used to cover up head to toe in the burka.:dunno

You should get a good picture of yourself in a sari and a Bindi for your website....

Really.... - it would show that side of you.. - which is really quite fascinating....

Multi-faceted is a good thing.....

But seriously, did you know that it was Marylin Monroe who brought the Bindi craze to North America with her now-famous "Cheekbone-Bindi"...?
