I'm back, and yes, you definitely feel the cold more here. In Florida it was about 58 F, not bad (HK is 53F BTW); In Chicago it was below freezing, and in Michigan even worse, but the thing is, all the homes are heated, so you are warm and toasty at home, then you bundle up nicely with gloves and hats and hop into a heated car, so you really dont feel the cold.

HK has no central heating, no heated cars, no heated offices, and no one is prepared for anything below 15C really. GAH.

Anyway, I'll more about my return in another post!

NO heated cars in HK? But I thought HK was the Rolls Royce capitol of the world! I KNOW that Rolls Royces come with heaters!

About the same temperature as us Larree!!

But Debbie is right, there is no central heating here - all the buses, ferries are cold - I'm wearing jumpers & stuff sitting at home!!! I have to walk the dogs in a few minutes and I really don't want to go.... brrrrrrrrrrr

I remember in England when it was cold - all the houses are snug, the cars are snug and so you're actually in the cold for a few minutes~walking between car to front door or car to pub door :wgrin

ugh it's about 9 degrees celsius on Lamma, I wonder if the dogs can walk themselves...............?
