The first (of hopefully many!) Getmemusic live events have been planned, so I'm posting the news! ;)





Getmemusic Juke Box Jury Events:



We are holding two "Juke Box Jury" events in bars and clubs in Worthing - UK.

The events are based on the vintage UK TV show of the same name, where we pick volunteers from the crowd to become a "panel of music critics" for the night.

The panel have to listen to tracks by Getmemusic artists and they have to say what they think of the songs and whether they think they would become hits or not!

CDs of Getmemusic artists will also be available to buy on the nights.



The two events are being held at:



Saturday 2nd August

The Jolly Brewers,

Clifton Road,

Worthing,

West Sussex.

Admission: Free.



Saturday 20th September

The Ball Tree,

Busticle Lane,

Sompting,

West Sussex.

Admission: Free.



Yeah,, ok, I know most of you are thousands of miles away, but if anyone is in the Brighton area around these dates will be able to come. :bday





Of course, very soon we will also be organizing live gigs featuring Getmemusic artists.





I'm just trying to show here that Getmemusic.com is NOT "just another music site"......it's a site that cares about REAL WORLD promo. ;)



About time a music site did something like this, eh? ;)

Yep, there will DEFINITELY be pics.



I'll also be letting you all know what the "judges" thought of the songs played and which Getmemusic artists they loved best. :)

I suppose it will be a weird feeling for you, seeing members of the public say what they think about "Lordy Lordy!"





(Don't get up and beat 'em up if they say something critical about it though!) :bday



Not that they will of course! "Down n Dirty" is such an addictive song.

NEWS JUST IN...



"Sounds Lyrical", an organisation who compile charity compilation CDs for "Children In Need" want Getmemusic.com to help sell their CDs for them.



And, as GMM will be the only site distributing the 2003 Children In Need CD, then that gives the site a nice bit of exposure. ;)



They will also be using GMM to find artists who are willing to donate tracks for next year's CD.

(More news about this coming next week!)
