Yesterday I wittnessed the strongest storm I can remember here in Europe.

I was really scared when driving with my car on a highway on the right lane, when a heavy wind pushed my car to the far left of the left lane, while steering to the right!!!

I was lucky that I was able to avoid a major accident...

Well... I learned again that mankind and all related problems are nothing compared to the power of nature...

"The damage is enormous," Antwerp Mayor Leona Detiege was quoted by The Associated Press as saying.

heard on the news that two people were actually blown into the sea. scary.

I once went up to Mt St Helens shortly after it blew (around 1980). I remember all the trees being blown down in such a way as they looked like a set of dominos.....all laying the same way over the entire countryside going up into the hills. An entire forest laid waste....no leaves. It was ominous....sort of in the way it might be on the moon....I guess. Eerie.

Yeah, major storms here too. Houses without electricity and a few people dead etc. I thought my window was going to break last night.
